Good night, everybody!! Hoje irei mostrar de uma forma mais aprofundada the Weather (o tempo), no sentido de clima. Mas dentro desse assunto podemos falar sobre temperatura, nos Estados Unidos e no Reino Unido tem a escala Fahrenheit. Esse tipo de medição utiliza uma escala diferente, onde o ponto de congelamento da água (0º) o ocorre a 32º F. A partir daí, para cada grau Celsius, é contado 1,8ºF. Ou seja, a fórmula para converter Celsius para Fahrenheit é:

on your left side. [Vire à direita no cruzamento e continue até
visualizar o estacionamento à esquerda.] 5. Keep going for two blocks and turn left. [Siga por dois quarteirões e vire à esquerda.]

Olá pessoal, hoje vamos falar sobre as horas em inglês e todas as suas regrinhas de uso. Para perguntar as horas podemos falar: What’s the time? ou What time is it?. Usamos a forma It’s + time para dizer que horas são e quando for a hora exata acrescentamos o’clock.
Para indicar que as horas são antes ou depois de meio-dia usamos as abreviações a.m. (antes do meio-dia) e p.m. (depois do meio-dia).
Ex.: It’s eight a.m. (São oito da manhã.) Ex.:It’s five p.m. (São cinco da tarde.)
Vejam os exemplos:
9:00It’s nine o’clock. 9:05It’s five past nine. 9:10It’s ten past nine. 9:15It’s quarter past nine. 9:20It’s twenty past nine. 9:25It’s twenty-five past nine. 9:30It’s half past nine. 9:35It’s twenty-five to ten. 9:40It’s twenty to ten. 9:45It’s quarter to ten. 9:50It’s ten to ten 9:55It’s five to ten.
No inglês americano eles usam mais essa forma:
1:25It’s one twenty-five. 11:30It’s eleven thirty.
Em inglês usamos "PAST" para dizer os minutos até o limite de meia hora.
Veja os Exemplos:
10:30 am. It's half past ten.
12:15 pm. It's quarter past twelve.
4:25 pm. It's twenty-five past four.
Usamos o'clock somente para dizer horas completas / redondas.
6:00 It's six o'clock.
7:00 It's seven o'clock.
8:00 It's eight o'clock.
8:01 It's one past eight. (Neste caso já não dizemos o'clock mais)
Usamos TO para dizer as horas do minuto 31 até antes de ser completada uma hora cheia.
9:45. It's quarter to ten.
7:55. It's five to eight.

EXEMPLOS:
January is the first month of the year. (Janeiro é o primeiro mês do ano). Bob is the third winner. (Bob é o terceiro ganhador). John is the ninth student of this line. (John é o nono aluno desta fila).
Como eu já disse os números ordinais também são usados em inglês para datas.
January 28th (Vigésimo oitavo dia do mês de janeiro).
Obs.: Note que o “th” acompanha o numeral vinte e oito, pois a
terminação de vigésimo oitavo é “th”. O numeral ordinal primeiro, por
exemplo, termina em “st” (first), logo deve vir “st” acompanhando o numeral 1. O numeral ordinal segundo termina em “nd” (second), por isso deve vir o “nd” acompanhando o numeral 2. O mesmo acontece com terceiro (third), logo “rd” deve acompanhar o numeral 3. A partir do número 4 usa-se o "th".
